NEW! The Z Wave™ by Zimmer Aesthetics

Michael Nagy MD, FACS in Wall Township, NJ is happy to introduce the Z Wave™ by Zimmer, a Radial Pulse Therapy (RPT) treatment we now offer to enhance or improve outcomes of surgical procedures, body contouring treatments and more. The Z Wave™ works by transmitting powerful pulses of sound waves onto and through the skin. This sound energy is delivered via an electromagnetic applicator, then spreads out radially and penetrates the skin and deeper soft tissues.

The body responds to the Z Wave™ sound waves with increased metabolic activity in the form of lymphatic drainage and increased blood circulation. It is through this action that the duration of healing and recovery of a particular surgery may be shortened, such as liposuction, and enhanced patient outcomes with body contouring treatments like Coolsculpting®?.

The Z Wave™ treatment offers:

  • No down time

  • Visible results

  • Gentle and comfortable

  • Non-invasive treatment

  • Quicker, easier recovery

Dr. Nagy is the best at what he does! He has a wonderful bedside manner and was extremely awesome with all of my questions. I’m a little over one week post op and already so incredibly happy with my results. The office is impeccable and beautiful. The staff is friendly and always helpful. Big shout out to Kim, she went above and beyond - from being reassuring, caring, friendly and so so patient with insane amounts of nerves and questions that I had. She’s the best! From consult to post op, they are a phenomenal team that I would highly recommend.

IS THE Z WAVE™ TREATMENT PAINFUL?

No, in fact quite the contrary. Many patients comment that the treatment feels similar to a relaxing massage. Again this is subjective, but most patients do not experience pain during the treatment.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

This really depends on your specific condition. We highly recommend one treatment post Coolsculpting®, as this will stimulate blood flow to the area. Additional treatments are strongly recommended as this will continually enhance a quicker response to the Coolsculpting® treatment. Septae and fat cells are positively impacted by the Z Wave™, enhancing the outcome and recovery following the treatment, and the Z Wave™ treatment only takes about 4 minutes per area.

HOW DOES THE Z WAVE™ COMPARE TO HAND MASSAGE AFTER COOLSCULPTING®?

Utilizing the Z Wave™ offers consistent therapy for the entire treatment area, removing the subjectivity of hand massage.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF HAVING Z WAVE™ TREATMENTS POST-COOLSCULPTING® AND AFTER OTHER SURGERIES/PROCEDURES?

The Z Wave™ is an effective treatment to enhance body contouring results, can shorten recovery time and minimize the occurrence of side effects.

BESIDES COOLSCULPTING®, WHAT OTHER TREATMENTS OR SURGERIES ARE ENHANCED WITH THE Z WAVE™?

Our experience has found that the Z Wave™ treatment is best paired with other treatments as an add-on service to enhance results and improve or shorten recovery time. Other applications of the Z Wave™ treatment include post–liposuction, to help alleviate the development of capsular contracture, scar treatment and skin tightening.
