Beautiful at Rest, Flawless in Motion

We are excited to now offer our patients in Monmouth County, NJ, another option in dermal fillers. Introducing the RHA Filler Collection by Revance®. These fillers are the only FDA approved hyaluronic fillers for the dynamic facial wrinkles and folds on the face. The RHA® Collection is developed by TEOXANE Laboratories in Geneva, Switzerland. RHA® represents the latest advancement in hyaluronic acid filler technology and can only be found at practices that provide exceptional consumer experiences and outcomes. We are excited and proud to be one of those practices. Our experienced injectors are proficient in the treatment using these RHA® fillers.

WHAT ARE DYNAMIC WRINKLES?

Dynamic wrinkles and fold are areas on the face that experience repetitive motion. Your face can make millions of movements each day, from frowning, squinting, smiling, and so on. Due to these repetitive or “dynamic” motions, the skin begins to develop wrinkles which may become more difficult to treat over time due to the fact that the area is dynamic. RHA® fillers are designed to treat these areas as the filler is considered more resilient to adapt to the motions made by the face. This may in turn create a result that is more natural looking both in motion and in rest.

WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID (HA)?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found in the human body. Your body’s own HA helps maintain the skin’s structure and its natural feel. The natural hyaluronic acid in your skin helps provide moisture, volume, and structure to your skin. Over time, your skin produces less hyaluronic acid. The RHA® Collection is formulated to more closely mimic the HA that already exists in your skin, and may result in a more natural look.

HOW ARE RHA® FILLERS MADE?

RHA® fillers are produced with hyaluronic acid (HA), using an advanced technology to obtain a soft and long lasting injectable gel to smooth facial wrinkles and folds. The HA of the gel is made from a non-animal source. The filler also contains a small amount of lidocaine (an anesthetic) to minimize discomfort during injection.

HOW DO RHA® FILLERS WORK?

RHA® is injected into the skin with an ultrafine needle to plump the skin to fill in and smooth away wrinkles and folds such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth. This smoothing effect has been shown to last up to 12 months in clinical studies. RHA® fillers are not permanent. Over time they will be slowly absorbed by the body.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF RHA® FILLER TREATMENTS?

RHA® filler smooths wrinkles and folds in moving (dynamic) areas of the face, between the nose and the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds). RHA® fillers can provide you with a more youthful appearance as the wrinkles and folds are minimized. The HA composition of the filler is formulated to mimic the natural hyaluronic acid found in your skin.

AM I A CANDIDATE FOR RHA® FILLERS?

Before any treatment, we would first have a consultation with you to discuss options regarding dermal fillers. During your consultation one of our providers would go over your aesthetic goals regarding fillers and assess your area of concern. At that time recommendations would be made about which RHA® Collection filler is best for you. There are three formulations of RHA® in the collection. Your provider will determine which formulation is best for you.

Implant Recall 2019

As reported in the news, textured breast implants have been associated with a rare type of lymphoma (cancer of the immune system) called Breast Implant Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL). This lymphoma is so rare that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not recommend that textured implants be removed or replaced in those without symptoms of BIA-ALCL.
