Juvéderm® Voluma® XC
JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC is a member of the JUVÉDERM® family of fillers. JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC is specifically designed to treat cheek volume loss due to aging. VOLUMA® XC, which is placed deeper in the skin from the other JUVÉDERM® fillers, is designed to lift and contour the cheek area, providing volume and a more youthful appearance. Michael Nagy MD, FACS and his associates have been successfully treating patients with JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC for many years here in our Wall Township, NJ office. They are highly-skilled and experienced injectors in all the injectable fillers we offer at the practice.
The JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers is made from hyaluronic acid (HA). What’s interesting about HA is that it’s a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. Each product in the JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers is made from a modified form of HA. Please see some frequently asked question below about JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC.
Frequently Asked Questions about Juvéderm® VOLUMA® XC
What is JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC?
As you age, the cheeks may flatten and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC is designed to add volume beneath the skin’s surface, which provides lift and contour to the cheek area.
Ideal Candidates for JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC
The version of hyaluronic acid found in JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC is designed to have a low risk of an allergic reaction, so most people are typically good candidates for treatment. Anyone who is generally healthy and is age 21 or older may safely undergo VOLUMA® injections.
The best candidates for JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC are patients with concerns such as sunken cheeks and problems with facial fullness. VOLUMA® injections restore volume to hollow cheeks, thereby providing a fresher and more youthful appearance.
What Happens During the Consultation?

Prior to the VOLUMA® procedure, you will be advised to avoid cigarette smoking and drinking alcohol. It is also important to speak with your doctor about any allergies or sensitivities.
