Vectra 3D

VECTRA 3D Aesthetic Simulation

If you are one of the thousands of people each year considering aesthetic plastic surgery, Dr. Michael Nagy is offering an exciting and unique opportunity for his patients. With modern advances in 3D imagining combined with revolutionary new software, patients now have the ability to preview the results of potential procedures, such as breast augmentation, facial procedures, and more, well before any surgery is performed.

How it works

Both the VECTRA© 3D camera and Sculptor software were developed by Canfield Imaging Systems of Fairfield, NJ, the world’s leading provider of medical photography systems. The process starts with a VECTRA 3D session which produces a three-dimensional photograph of the patient. Then using the Sculptor software, the surgeon is able to manipulate the image to create a prediction of the expected results from aesthetic procedures, including breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, rhinoplasty, facial procedures, in addition to many more. Moreover, the Sculptor software allows the patient to view their original and simulated photographs side-by-side or translucently for more precise and convenient comparisons.

Improved Patient Satisfaction

Plastic Surgery can seem frightening and risky to patients, especially those who are unfamiliar with aesthetic procedures. However, VECTRA 3D imaging allows Dr. Nagy to provide assurance and confidence for patients that were otherwise fearful of possible, undesirable outcomes. Cosmetic Surgery does not have to be equivalent to chance. Dr. Nagy and the patient can now focus on a clearly defined objective that will produce desired results by making changes to the 3D representation of the patient’s face and body. The innovative technology results in high patient satisfaction as it reduces the risk of miscommunication between the surgeon and patients. Because the entire process is performed prior to any incision both the clinical staff and the patient are able to progress with confidence, knowing everyone is moving in cooperation toward the same, precise goal.

Implant Recall 2019

As reported in the news, textured breast implants have been associated with a rare type of lymphoma (cancer of the immune system) called Breast Implant Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (BIA-ALCL). This lymphoma is so rare that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not recommend that textured implants be removed or replaced in those without symptoms of BIA-ALCL.
