Imaging Utilizing the VECTRA©3D Imaging System
Imaging is an important part of the breast augmentation consultation process. We offer the most up-to-date imaging system in Wall Township, NJ: the VECTRA©3D Imaging System. Imaging allows us to assist our patients in choosing the right size breast implant to consider to achieve their desired result. These breast augmentations and other surgeries can then be more accurately performed in our Toms River, New Jersey and Middletown, New Jersey surgery centers.
VECTRA© 3D Aesthetic Simulation
If you are one of the thousands of people each year considering aesthetic plastic surgery, Michael Nagy MD, FACS is offering an exciting and unique opportunity for his patients. With modern advances in 3D imaging combined with revolutionary new software, patients now have the ability to preview the results of potential procedures, such as breast augmentation, well before any surgery is performed.
How VECTRA© 3D Works
Both the VECTRA© 3D camera and Sculptor software were developed by Canfield Imaging Systems of Fairfield, NJ, the world’s leading provider of medical photography systems. The process starts with a VECTRA© 3D session which produces a three-dimensional photograph of the patient. Then using the Sculptor software, the surgeon is able to manipulate the image to create a prediction of the expected results from aesthetic procedures, including a breast augmentation or a breast lift with implants. Moreover, the Sculptor software allows the patient to view their original and simulated photographs side-by-side or translucently for more precise and convenient comparisons.
Improved Patient Satisfaction
Plastic surgery can seem frightening and risky to patients, especially those who are unfamiliar with aesthetic procedures. However, VECTRA© 3D imaging allows Dr. Nagy to provide assurance and confidence for patients that are otherwise fearful of possible, undesirable outcomes. Cosmetic surgery does not have to be equivalent to chance. Dr. Nagy and the patient can now focus on a clearly defined objective that will produce desired results by making changes to the 3D representation of the patient’s body. The innovative technology results in high patient satisfaction as it reduces the risk of miscommunication between the surgeon and patients. Because the entire process is performed prior to any incision, both the clinical staff and the patient are able to progress with confidence, knowing everyone is moving in cooperation toward the same, precise goal.
