This procedure is commonly for women that have typically had more than one child. The patient comes in complaining about “deflated breasts and loose abdominal muscles”. The volume loss is common after pregnancy due to hormonal changes and possible breast feeding. The abdominal laxity is from the abdomen stretching during pregnancy and the abdominal muscles not returning to their natural shape. This will cause a “bulging” appearance to the abdomen. Women will complain of laxity to the abdomen no matter how much time they spend at the gym. The procedure to fix these concerns can vary depending on the patient. It can be as simple as a just an implant or an implant with lift or possibly just a lift alone. The abdominal area is most commonly addressed with an Abdominoplasty or “Tummy Tuck”. These two procedures can be done together and does not add to your recovery. Recovery period is usually two weeks.
